Service Manager –Restorative Youth Services

Salary up to £66,165
Plus potential relocation package of up to £8,000

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated manager to provide the leadership and management of the Youth Offending Team, our Substance Misuse Service and Youth Counseling Team. You will be responsible for the management of a highly performing multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of effective pre and post court services to young offenders and other vulnerable young people. You will work in partnership with other services across the wider children’s service and with a wide range of professionals to ensure the services continue to deliver a high quality service to young people, victims and the local community.

This unique and exciting opportunity offers you the chance to lead on the delivery of the local authority’s Restorative Youth Service. As part of the Senior Management Team, alongside six other Service Managers, you will work with the Service Director/Head of Service to assist in the overall strategic management and delivery of the Children, Family and Community Health Service as a whole and ensure a seamless joined up approach to universal, targeted and statutory services.

To be successful for this role, you must have considerable management experience and understanding of youth justice and community based services for children and their parents in the context of current youth justice and childcare legislation, statutory requirements and practical issues. You will also need an understanding of how young people can be best engaged and support to affect change in their lives. Demonstrable experience of successful strategic and change management and a track record of managing service performance will also be a requirement.
